Carpuride 502BS vs 2017 BWM R1200RT

I got my Carpuride 502BS a bit over a week ago, & have been trying to 'set it up', but I'm experiencing some difficulties.
Is there anyone out there who might be able to assist me to figure it out, please?
I can't get it to fully 'link' with the R1200RT. It seems to have managed a connection which allows some control of the navigation app via the 'magic wheel', but isn't able to access engine or other information when in the 'home' screen
I can't change the 'unit' measurements from imperial to decimal
It has started requesting that I download a Carpuride App to my phone, but I can’t find the app on Playstore or elsewhere
It also seems to have little 'glitches' where it gets itself into a kind of 'loop', flicking from connecting to Android Auto, disconnecting form AA, & so on
It connected to my Samsung Phone OK, & seems to be accessing some apps from my phone, such as Spotify, Audible, Parking Apps, etc.
I'm also having some 'challenges' with the R1200RT automatically shutting itself down when 'in' 'accessory' mode. It will tolerate not being started for 5 minutes or so, but then seems to get bored & shut down, which isn't helpful when trying to navigate the 'link'/setup process. Is it possible to stop it from doing this?
Thus far it looks like it has potential to what I'd like it to do & more, but I'm struggling to figure it all out.

I recommend you contact Capuride. They may have a firmware update that helps with your issue. They do not post updates on the internet for download but will email you an update if there is one available.

I have contacted them twice for issues with another model Capuride and in both cases they responded within a day.

I emailed them earlier today, so hoping to hear back in the next few days.
I was thinking along the lines that someone here might have had/seen the same problem/s.
