I recently purchased a used 2015 R1200RT w 9K miles in mint condition. I love the bike and it runs great-but I have had to replace the 2032 battery in the Key Fob twice. Is this a known problem or am O doing something wrong. Also what Octane is best for gassing up my Beamer? Should I use-Non-Ethanol gas? I plan on putting low mileage 250-500 miles per month on it for now. Thx.

My experience with the 2032 battery is that they only last 2 to 3 years. Some may last longer, but you never know how much longer.
My RT is a 2019, BMW recommends using premium octane gasoline which is what I do. If you want to use ethanol free thats your business, but why pay $.50 a gallon more if you don’t have to and if you’re using the bike on a regular basis, ethanol, gas shouldn’t be a problem.

Premium gas is your best bet. As for your key fob battery, If the key fob is close to the bike it is constantly transmitting, thus draining the battery. Don't store it on the bike or leave it any closer than 10 feet when you are not riding the bike.
