Hi all
I bought the bike (19) a few months ago with 2500 miles. I changed the oil and the battery, seat, cyclops ect.
The original owner did the 600 mile and the brake update. My question is can I just get away with another oil change at 6k and do a service at the end of the season I should have maybe 7000 on it then or is the 6000 more inclusive than just oil?

If the 1st service was completed at 600 mile the second service should be done at 6600.

At 6,000 miles, only an oil & filter change is required.

Unless you know for certin it's been changed I'd recommend you get the brake fluid changed at your earleist convience. Even though it's sealed system, over time brake fluid still absorbs moisture which will reduce their performance and not what you want on a safety critical part. If what you've got in your brakes is OEM, it's well overdue for a change. I assume you've heard about the issues with the shaft drive. BMW issued a change to the service plan so that the splines on the shaft drive now have to be greased every every 12k. I suspect they've never been touched on your bike, but given the year your bike is it might be worth having that done at your next service. Time, particularly on bikes that don't get used all year where corrosion between the two parts of the shaft can take place are as big a factor as mileage on this part.
Lastly, it's also worth checking that a recall from a couple of years ago was done. There was an issue with the circlip that hold the foot pegs on and an update to the computer to do with the way the rear suspenion monitored a failure. Nothing critical, but it's free so you might as well get it done if it hasn't already been done.

After the initial 600 mile -1000km running in period a service at 6600 miles or 12 months (whichever occurs sooner) an oil and filter change is required according to an actual BMW dealership service stamp. This service also includes a change of brake fluid to the whole system.
Personally I wouldn't change the brake fluid until 24 months or 12k miles.

The brake fluid in the entire system should be changed for the first time after one year, then every two years after that.

I agree Capt on both counts.
They must have changed the brake fluid on the fronts but the rear is an issue and the shaft as well. Regarding the footpegs
I have boards but when I bought the bike I put it back to stock to learn it as intended and yes, I was not impressed by the footpeg assembly. Having lost a peg in the past it really is a problem. Ok, I’ll wait 6k won’t be too long and bring it in.
