Hello, thanks for the join, my introduction post.

Im in the market again looking to get a R1200RT. Its been awhile since owned a BMW. Past ones were, 2-R1150GS, 1150RT, K1200lt.Had GL1800 and V-Strom, ST1300
Im in Roseville, near Sacramento, Ca
Two bikes close to me Im considering, 2009 and 2010, both around 30K mi.

Hey there, welcome. Reno area guy here.
By coincidence, Marketplace showed me an add for a 2013 model R1200RT (grey & black, no top case, big TomTom nav system on it) with 30K on it as well, out of Napa.

Man that's some beautiful country you live in there. I delivered fiberglass tanks to Roseville 15 times from Texas.

Been a while since I saw that logo. Back in the 60s, I rode a Metralla all over Spain, Southern France, Italy and Morocco. Lots of memories

.Yeah I had a few Bultaco's in the 70's, a few years ago I restored a '76 360 Frontera. Would love to get a Metralla, I hear they handle very well.

Back in the day, Metrallas were referred to as "Road Racers with license plates". They were extremely lite with lots of torque. Not particularly comfortable, but ran like a scalded dog. They were yesterday's equivalent of today's BMW S1000RR

.Or maybe a RD350-RD400, I was working for Yamaha when those were new.

That Yamaha is the same colour as my first bike - 1975 RS 125 Torque Induction. Plug got wet at the slightest hint of rain, brakes were a liability and 6v headlight was useless! Thanks for the memory.
