First BMW from 12 years of Kawasaki

Greetings from Tennessee!!
Just picked up an '06 R1200RT with 69k miles this weekend. It's traveled to Canada and thru the West into Mexico so many highway miles.
Every motorcycle i've purchased in the past I've immediately serviced every fluid and filter on the bike. This is my first Beamer and I've not got a service manual yet. I'm kind of boggled and wondering what specialty tools will be required, and plan to read up on the subject. This is my daily drive as my '16 Kawasaki Versys 650LT is needing chain and sprocket service, and I'm anxious to service the new BMW as to not damage anything etc.
Already I've got a front turn signal bulb out I'm trying to figure how to get to for replacement, and my gas cap is locked shut and I will have to use a torx bit next time I fill up for gas. I've only one bent key, that's probably my problem. There's two blanks coming tomorrow, I've still not figured where I'm going to go to have them cut...
I'll be searching the forum shortly, but any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!!
