Hello everyone,
On my 2010 RT last Monday morning, as I was getting ready to go to work, it shut off just seconds after turning it on. I tried again, and as soon as I left the garage, it shut off again and wouldn’t start anymore. I had to push the bike back to the garage, and while I got my things together to go to work by car—this took only about 10 to 15 minutes—I decided to try it again, and it started as if nothing had happened. That day it did around 60 km without any issues, and it has run perfectly for the rest of the week, without failing again.
I decided to check for errors using motoscan, and I found this error recorded (see link).
I’d like to know, from those with experience, if this is a common problem, what could be causing it, and what the solution might be.
Thank you.

Re: Running issues
Am I right in thinking there is issues with this model and the signal telling the fuel pump to run?
I'm sure I have seen people having to bypass it

Re: Running issues
Yes, I’ve been searching online and there are many cases of problems with the fuel pump controller. But I see reports of more error codes, and in my case only this one appears. Besides that, I rode to work every day, about 60 km a day, and it never gave me any more problems. This intermittence is making me suspicious.

Re: Running issues
This past weekend I had some time to take apart the fuel pump controller and check underneath it. I found a goo-like liquid, the fcp itself had condensation droplets on the underside, plus a dead bug and lots of dirt. Before jumping into buying a new fcp, I decided to give it a good cleaning and apply silicone grease on the contacts and the sealing gasket. For now, I cleared the DTC codes and it’s been working fine. If it keeps holding up like this, I’ll just replace the blue gasket, which clearly isn’t doing its job anymore.
