Help needed on CarPlay connection

Post by Jeffem »

I originally posted my experiment in fitting this CarPlay screen back in February 2024. I must admit to feeling very pleased with myself over fitting the unit and running it very successfully. I managed to change my helmet to a Neotec3 from a Neotec2, with no fuss.

However, three weeks ago, I upgraded my phone (still an IPhone) and now the system refuses to work.

I can link my phone to the helmet. No problem. :thumb:
I can even link the phone to the CarPlay. No problem. :thumb:
What I can’t sort out is how to link them all together but only feed audio to my helmet. :(
I can get audio out of the CarPlay but I can’t seem to sort out the sequence of connecting them so it feeds audio to just the helmet.

There seems to be something in the sequence to switch on and link the phone to the helmet and the CarPlay. Does anyone have experience with this issue?

I realise I will get lots of suggestions telling me to do it a completely different way, but I am only interesting in getting back to the way it operated with my previous phone. I’ve gone back to factory settings on both the helmet and the CarPlay. I’ve made several attempts trying various sequences to link and thought I had finally done it, only to experience the CarPlay loosing an established connection after a few minutes. It’s driving me bloody nuts!

Help,
Slow in, fast out.
