I haven’t seen too many posts about passenger arm rests and decided to take a chance on the knock-off version. The kit was roughly $350 shipped and took about a week to deliver. That’s about $800-900 off the name-brand version. Note this kit did not come with instruction so I had to rely on the name-brand video for instructions.

The installation wasn’t too difficult and all of the bolt holes lined up correctly. I suspect either the main bracket is bent (maybe during shipping) or the measurements are off because the right-side upright is really close to the lower portion of the top case. There’s really no way to know until the end when you fit the top case back on the rack. If I adjust the arm rest up, it slowly starts making contact with the case. Right now I have the arm rest in the lowest position so that it doesn’t rub the top case.

When the the right-side pad is in the up position, it rubs the glossy surface of the top case when it is open.

The left-side upright has much better clearance. When the pad is up, the top case opens clean.

Aside from this specific fitment issue, one of the Torx bolt heads wasn’t punched out (the opening for the T30 was solid) so I had to find another bolt in my collection that would fit.

There are also a few spots on the larger bracket where paint is missing that’ll require some touch-up.

Overall it looks decent. I doubt anyone looking at the bike will notice the slight fitment issue, although it’ll be a challenge for me to forget that I know. I may try to get the arm rest pads wrapped to match the Option 719 brown. Hopefully my experience with fitment will help others in their decision-making.
