drive shaft replacement under warranty

Recently had my driveshaft replaced under warranty on my 2019 r1250rt. My question is should the driveshaft gear oil be replaced after 600 miles like recommended on a new bike?

No!
They have replaced the shaft not the hub the drive shaft contains no oil

Hi Afeber, what mielage was on your RT when the shaft was repaced and did you have any signs making you think the shaft was needing repaced?

I had approximately 40,000 miles on my 2019 r1250rt when they replaced the driveshaft under the recall/warranty that bmw announced the past year or so. There were no issues that I noticed with the drive shaft but when I took it in for inspection they said they were going to replace it. I didn't argue at all with them!

If it helps mine had 22k on when replaced
