I've just found out that E20 petrol is on its way. This is bad news with less petrol in a gallon, and the higher ethanol content it will cause more water to enter the fuel system. Less performance and engine damage
E20 is a fuel containing 20% ethanol, and although it is expected to be rolled out in the UK in the future, most cars on the road are not yet compatible with it. Using E20 in non-compliant vehicles can cause problems such as reduced fuel efficiency, potential engine damage, corrosion of fuel system parts, and decreased performance. Most modern cars made after April 2023 are reportedly compatible.
What E20 is and why it's coming to the UK
Ethanol blend: E20 contains 20% ethanol, which is a biofuel that can be mixed with petrol to reduce carbon emissions and lower oil import costs.
Accelerated timeline: While the official UK rollout was previously planned for 2028, the timeline is accelerating, with some sources suggesting it could be available within two years due to pressure from EU policymakers.
Global trend: Many other countries are already rolling out E20, and it is used in motorsports such as Le Mans.

TotalEnergies created a 100% sustainable racing fuel for the WEC (race at Le Mans), called Excellium Racing 100, from agricultural waste from the French wine industry, primarily grape residues. The WEC have been using it since the start of the 2022 racing season.

That's where i found out about it. Today's bike will not be able to run on E20 without problems. The main cause will be the amount of water that can get into the system

Brazil is already using E25, and has been since the 1970s.
