I'll try and make this make sense.

if I understand your post correctly and you want to use your 12ac on a 12v dc system, then you can get a cheap compact 12v ac to dc or dc to ac convertor. they are circa £10 -£15 from Amazon.
super simple to wire in.

Yes something like that should be fine and at that price well worth ago.
I can't see your input voltage fluctuating to the point your LED pulses (dims of flashes)
