Hi
Im Mike
Got a 2008 R1200RT back in August. Use it to commute to London regularly. Putting about 2.5k miles a month on her so shoukd be able to give some real world opinions on consumables like tyres although limited journey types with 90+ percent being on the motorways.
Loving the Beemer's weather protection especially the electric screen and her agility for a big comfy bike. Heated bars and seat come into their own too.
My first Boxer and on the journey home thought I'd bought a Massey Ferguson by mistake but it was really charming and strangely relaxing. Well it was til I blipped the throttle whilst sitting at some lights and nearly dropped her!!
My bikes have to work for a living and she gets a lot of use along with a lot of FS365; but apart from a rear abs sensor she has been reliable just a major and a minor service so far and a set of tyres(see my other post)
Great to be a part of the forum and I hope to be able to contribute from my growing real world experience as well as ask newbie questions!
