I recently purchased a 2007 R1200RT-P and I'm converting it into a 2-seater.
One thing is, the preload adjuster was facing front on the original setup. The way it's mounted on the regular R1200RT, it's facing rear.
To turn it around, I would need to reverse the hose connection. I'm afraid that if I unscrew the bolt connecting the adjuster to the hose, the gas inside will escape. Anyone has experience with that?

Re: Reversing direction of rear strut preload adjuster
From what I can see, the rear strut & preload adjuster are a sealed unit.
If with the seat(s) removed the adjuster is accessible, what would be the reason for turning it around.

The reason is, I had to remove the plate it was bolted on in order to accommodate the rear seat. It can stay facing front, but it will just be dangling there, not attached to anything.
