BMW R1200RT/R1250RT Forum

Hi all, I'm a relatively new owner of a 2014 RT. I have the body plastic off to do a couple mods. Last summer I noticed a strong gas smell after topping off the tank. Does the wethead benefit from bypassing the cannister? If so, can I just run a new line down and cap off the existing one or will that cause issues?

Seems like a lot of effort to get a few more ounces of fuel. I would just avoid topping off the tank.
