I am a new owner of a 2017 R1200RT. How do I know if it is equiped with the shift assistant pro?

How good the shift assistant pro works seems to vary from bike to bike. Mine works well going up the gears, particularly when accelerating at speed but is pretty useless otherwise. Others say they're as smooth a butter in both directions, however the general consensus is that they are better at higher speeds/gears than in the lower ones and if like me you’ve spent the last nearly fifty years riding with a clutch, it takes a bit of practice to adapt to how it works.
Lastly remember it's a shift assist used on a big lower revving lumpy twin, not a quick shifter used on a revy & slick four cyclinder sports bikes.
