]My 2015 R1200rt has developed an issue with the cruise control switch on the left handlebar .
The small " paddle" which allows for incremental increasing and decreasing speed works fine when pushing forward to increase the set speed, but when pulling the unit back, it stops the cruise control working. I can feel spring pressure whilst pushing the paddle forward and it then returns to its neutral position, but when pulling it back, it feels loose although there is a tiny bit of spring tension but only at the end of its travel.
Has anyone cured this without emptying the wallet with a new unit ? Perhaps the return spring on the reducing side of the switch is broken.
Does the wiring loom disconnect inside the switch or do I need to chase the loom back ?

I finally found the reason for my cruise control switching off when using the - "paddle" to reduce the set speed.
All the switches were in good order, with a positive action. I think the switch had been replaced when I bought the bike, as the handlebar securing screw was slightly loose. When I placed the half cover that holds the cruise switches, I found a gap between both + and - switches and the paddle when in the "neutral" position. The only way to cure it was glue two small round pieces of very thin hard plastic onto the switch heads. The paddle action now feels great, and I could still feel the action on both switches.
I plugged my gs911 onto the bike, and the live data showed that when pulling the - paddle backwards, the cruise switched off. If I pushed the cruise locking switch to the "on" position as far as it would go, using the - paddle did not switch the system off.
I tested the cruise over a few miles, and it did fail once, I guess the vibrations form the road or motor allowed the switch to move slightly.
Pushed it away again, and the system worked as it should. How can I keep the switch from moving back enough to disengage when using the - paddle is for another day. Superglue anyone?
