Anyone tell me how to make one of these. Thinking all I need is a pipe with with a large thick washer at the end and a threaded bolt into the handlebar end. Working on 2021 r1250rt

Found a thread on another site last night that confirmed it all. Thanks for the feedback. Today’s job as it’s raining

Used this guide to help remove the switch gear.
The small tourque tool size is T5.
Had to sand a bit of paint off and throw the bars into the freezer to get them to fit into the new risers.

Some photos . The only downside in relation to where they are currently placed is that I can not rotate the front brake lever as far forward(down) as U would like. Hits the risers. I have set the risers up so they come back towards me a bit as well. If I was to make them straight up I don’t believe this would be an issue. Only time will tell.

I made the tool very cheaply. 25.4mm pipe - was only 1.2mm thick. Like a curtain rod. Cut it to length - found a couple of washers and bought some bolts as I didn’t have a correct size one.
Switch gear removed and pipe slides over bar. Bolt pulls it out. I had a couple of spare washers which was handy because they got bent on each bar. Put some tape over bar so no scratches.
I got the risers from Ali express - seem ok to date.
