Seat Height
Just picked up my new to me 2007 R1200RT. Totally love it, but could do with the seat being lowered. It has an all in one bench. Any advice greatly received.

If you want a comfortable seat, you don'thave a lot of options. There are some aftermarket seat adjusters, but they did't solve the problem. I have a 29" inseam and helped the problem by getting lifted boots. Take a look at Calto or Daytona boots. I ended up with Calto with 2.5" lifts.

Can you not convert it to a 2-seat option and buy a low seat for the rider? Or any seat maker can remove some of the foam. If you do go along this route i would recommend having some gel inserted.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

If it’s the one-piece seat, options are a bit limited but still doable. Either a low-profile replacement seat or having yours modified is probably the easiest route.

Greetings... I had a 2007 R1200RT, and it came with a standard height Corbin seat, super comfortable, but also a bit tall for my 30" inseam. I'm not a huge Crobin seat fan since they tend to be much harder than I am used to.
I came across a used "low" Corbin seat that really lowered the sitting position on my bike. It was wired for heat and was built on a Corbin seat pan that was very solid and stiff. It was also surprisingly comfortable for my backside. I wouldn't own a 2007-2013 without this seat.

I believe if you have to purchase one new, if they are even available, they are pretty expensive, but if you can find one used, it totally makes sense and makes the RT much more doable for the inseam-challenged. There are probably many options for a low seat. The one I found for my bike worked really well, was comfortable, and surprisingly low. (Part of the reason it was lower than most is that you need to remove the front seat mounts from the bike in order to install the Corbin low seat. This gets you another inch or more lower. Easy to remove the mounts.
Maybe check eBay, scour Craigslist and OfferUp around the country, and also check Facebook Marketplace. Hope you have great success.
