Different screen and new tpms sensors ?

Post by Panman40 »

I’ve got the puig screen on the RT but I’m looking for something smart for a change, maybe dark tint sports type screen, anything out there as I can’t see much ( uk).

Also new tyres are imminent but as the bikes 7 yrs old I want to replace the tpms sensors whilst I’m at it, I can’t be bothered soldering batteries so is there some oe ones out there somewhere at a decent price ? Or quality aftermarket ones ?.

Thanks.

you want the Schrader Tire Pressure Monitoring Sensor For KTM Super Adventure which is the same as the new style TPMS BMW use only cheaper!

Its the same one from the same manufacturer without a BMW badge

I paid £68 each

If you have the old style then you will need new bolts too

I’ve got the gs911 but did you need to use a wake up tool to pair the sensors ?.

Also, on the 1250 are the valves part of the Tpms or separate ? If the latter is it recommended to change those at the same time ?.

Yes I used a wake up tool but you can wake them up by riding but with the gs-911 you just enter the new codes

The valves are separate

Cheers, I’ll probably pick up a wake up tool, any recommendations for one ?.
I was going to look at that tyre changer again… but that plus a pair of tyres and 2 tpms would probably be £800
