Looking for suggestions to modify the grips on my RT. The stock grips are a bit skinny and I end up with numbness and cramps in my throttle hand. I do have heated grips.

Lots of options out there for foam grip covers that just slip over the existing grips. The heated grips will still work with them, it just takes a bit longer to warm through them. Grip Puppies is one of the original brands, there are several other copy cat ones too.

I have used grip puppies for years now. Easier to.grip.a.larger diameter and vibration is reduced. Heated grips still work fine. Seemed expensive when I bought them but they have held up fine even after I changed them to the new bike. The ebay ones i bought previously were rubbish. I would not be without them.

I tried grip puppies and found they made the grip too thick for my liking while not solving the underlying vibration issue. Instead, I added heavier HVMP bar end weights which greatly reduced bar vibration and eliminated my hand numbness:

I had Grip Puppies and they got slick, so i wrapped them with silicone tennis racket grip tape. That worked very well and it looks good too. No negatve effects on heating.

I used to get numb hands on my 2007 RT due to vibration, I tried grip puppies, they didn't work. I installed heavier bar end weights (500g each) and that cured the problem.

Used Gripp Puppies for years. Yes, they do make the handlebars feel thicker, but over time they do mould to your hands. You can still feel the heated grip working. I have D. Trump sized hands, but standard grips always seem so narrow for me. I've never felt any vibration through the grips, even with raisers fitted

I much prefer Grip Buddies (as opposed to Grip Puppies) as they're easier to fit, work just as well and allow the heat through.
