I went a different route. I bought a small magnetic tank bag on Amazon and cut the wings with magnets off. I installed custom bungee cords I made up(also from Amazon) to the front and rear of the tank bag. The hooks on the bungee cords hook into the slots on the tank and hold the tank bag securely. ...

I've owned my '13 RT since Feb 2014, bought it new. It's got 91,000mi on it now and does just about everything perfect for me. Remove the right turn signal and you should be able to reach and hold the cable connector and turn the antenna off. You may have to remove the painted mirror trim piece you give you enough room to turn the antenna base.
