Re: How old is your RT

Mine is a '64 plate' RT-P in the UK (so after Sep 1st 2014) but it's air/oil-cooled so a 2013 model - I guess there is some lag in RT-P build/conversion.

Re: Newbie from the French Alps

You got it ;) I assume you visited the region? I'll make sure to share some pics of my future rides around the lake / mountain ranges :thumb: Yes, in 'the time before children' (> 20 years ago) we stayed in or near Annecy a number of times (summer and winter). Then a few years ago we needed somewhe...

RT-P Owners - Do you use your Aux battery? What for?

I'm trying to decide if my Aux battery is useful or is just a lump of dead weight near the top of the bike.

Interested to hear from other RT-P owners on whether you run anything off your Aux battery (either directly or from the Hella socket at the back of the seat).

Re: Bloody Gritters

On the plus side, every time I see a gritter I'm required to take a small whisky before bed.

Re: Newbie from Staffs UK

Hello from another relatively 'newbie' from just over another border (Cheshire) in Macclesfield.
Not particularly close to Eccleshall I suppose but I do have to be in Stoke three times a week and take the bike whenever I can.

Re: Newbie with incoming 2014 R1200RT-P (Cheshire, UK)

Well I've got the bike now and am really enjoying it. It's a comfy cruiser (that I'm looking to do some weekend trips on in the summer) but it can hustle too if I ask it - I guess the police don't buy slow bikes. I'm pretty sure I've found the GPS power connection - see photo. Now I just need to fin...

Newbie with incoming 2014 R1200RT-P (Cheshire, UK)

Hello. I am expecting a 'new to me' RT-P next Thursday and am itching to ask various questions which will probably be obvious when I have it in front of me. It's a '64' plate so 2014 but I think it's the version that ended in 2014, not started in 2014 if that makes sense. I think the two things I'm ...
