Further comment.. the switched live is what turns on and off the DVR. The constant battery connection is to detect movement and only engages when the bike is moved or knocked when parked.

There are three wires from the DVR, live and neutral connected to the battery and a switched live connected to the accessory socket, so the DVR only works when the bike is running or it comes on if it detects movement when parked.
