Re: 300 mile range

I bought my 2007 rt fairly recently and did not realise the fuel gauge was iffy (it seemed fine to the half full.mark). I ran out of fuel on the M4 but managed to limp to a petrol station. 26 litres went in. So you were pretty low but had a couple of litres left.

Re: Grip modification

I have used grip puppies for years now. Easier to.grip.a.larger diameter and vibration is reduced. Heated grips still work fine. Seemed expensive when I bought them but they have held up fine even after I changed them to the new bike. The ebay ones i bought previously were rubbish. I would not be ...

Re: Spring clip replacement

This image is not of my bike, but the fittings look identical. It has been said a new spring clip can be fitted. The hinge circled looks press fit. How does a new spring clip attach? Thanks.

Spring clip replacement

Hi guys,
Getting to know my 2007 RT.
Changing a headlight bulb I noticed the spring clip was broken. Right side is missing.
I cannot see a way to replace it, although there seem to be new clips available.Has anyone done this?

Thanks.

Re: Fuel Tank capacity and range...

I have only just bought my 2007 RT. I took it to Wales, not realising the fuel gauge was having very strangely. I ran out of fuel in the fast lane of the M4. Luckily I managed to nurse it to a petrol station. 27 litres of fuel went in.

I'm using the trip from now on. Looking to refuel at 200 miles ...

New bike. Couple of questions

I recently bought a r1200rt. Year 2007. 34k miles. Navy blue.
Im pretty happy with it, but as we get to know each other i am uncovering the inevitable niggles. If you don't mind id like to get your thoughts so I can either fix it, hassle the bike shop, or contact a bmw dealer. 1st choice is always ...

Re: Recommended music headphones

This sort of thing works great for me.

Wires stop you losing buds.
I buy better foam plugs than come with the earbuds.
They block wind whistle and road noise.
Cheap and cheerful. But they work. Been riding with em for years.

Money down. Roll on friday

Just out the money down in a 2007 1200Rt.
Previous bike was Triumph Sprint GT.
Picking it up Friday, and cannot wait to get my hands on her.
Cheers all.
