Has anyone purchased bar risers from China ? One company are making them for £21.00 thats a hell of a difference to Wunderlich / Illium Works. Any info is most welcome.

Re: Bar Risers
I bought a set of rider footrest lowers from China via Amazon.co.uk and they were a perfect copy of Wunderlich, paperwork and all. Despite some reservations I have to say they’ve been faultless.
However, whilst a broken footrest would be a royal PITA, having a snapped off handlebar would be a major and dangerous problem.
Personally I wouldn’t fit them, but I’m equally sure some have done so. .

Re: Bar Risers
I've no experience what's so ever but would I rely on a 21 quid knock off part that attaches the handle bars to the front wheel. No, I'd pay full price for a part that I could have some confidence in. I can't imagine that Chinese manufacturing tolerances when knocking out copies are particularly strict.

Re: Bar Risers
That'll be the mark up that Wunderlich and Illium works are making. These Chinese companies usually manufacture so many under licence to these companies, then start firing the same unbranded parts out of the back door at a fraction of the cost.hammo wrote: Thu Nov 17, 2022 6:08 pm Has anyone purchased bar risers from China ? Re: Bar Risers
The Wunderlich bar risers are different again to the Chinese (AliExpress) or Ilium ones.sakm wrote: Thu Nov 17, 2022 8:20 pm It's exactly the same as the Wunderlich one just without their name on it.

Re: Bar Risers
I bet both the Wunderlich and Illium Works are manufactured in China as are most of the worlds goods. I have used the cheap Amazon bar risers with great results.

Re: Bar Risers
Oddly, I'd like the bars a bit lower, say 10mm or so, even with the saddle on its high setting, perhaps it's my diminutive 5'8" stature with longish legs and a shorter body that's causing the issue
