All my plans for a long German trip has gone out the window. My niece is getting married in May but she lives in Gibraltar. Mrs. T is flying and riding down there
. Am setting out a week before and taking a nice long ride there. Last time it took me 4 hours just to get through the Spanish/Gib border. Cheap fags and booze. Shame i don't drink
Then in June am visiting an old cousin that i have seen for about 4 years. So that will be a trip up to Snowdonia. The good thing about this trip is he's a biker too and knows all the best biking. Not looking forward to the boring motorway miles to get there

I can travel up the A5 but it will take too long, stopping and starting in traffic

Try the A41 to M40/M42, M6 to M54, then A5.

If you don't mind the time taken, then maybe try something like
https://goo.gl/maps/j7aQ2TEBRk5wEwn6A There is a motor museum on Moreton in Marsh to break the trip.
