I don't feel sorry for you at all. I retired at 50, now 58. You both must be having an easy life. I haven't been more run off my feet in my life. Look after the grandkids, paint this and that, change this and that, go shopping. run errands, fill the car up help my sons, service their cars and bikes, weld this and that. It's an endless nightmare. I used to moan i was underpaid but now i am. Thank god i still get asked to do some lectures. Retirement is a cruel master.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

+1 with Steve. I too retired early, many years ago - best job I've ever had!

Managed to squeeze in four trips to see my mate in Oz (including bike rides from Perth to NSW, across The Nullarbor). Still enjoying being able to go out for a ride when the weather is at its best, rather than looking out of the office window, wishing....

I do miss not being in the workshop and trying out new ideas. Also, seeing the new intake's learning journey until when they leave with their diplomas.

Fitted front and rear cameras. Was a simple straightforward job. Love the panels on the RT, you can hide cables everywhere. One thing i didn't understand is the Looping times. I can set it for 1 sec, 3 sec and so on. I thought looping would only happen after the card had got full up.
I have the new Angles GT sitting in the garage. Not sure i will be able to change them myself as the sidewalls are super stiff. Maybe these are the only tyres to defeat me in 40 years.

Envy is strong with this one.

Well, I managed to take my GS to this guy who will take care of the carbs as they did not take well five years of sitting in garage.

Holy crap that RT fairing looks huge.

Starting a new job July, part time as the first stage to retirement. Had originally intended to stay with my current job for another 12 months before looking around but this one came up so I jumped at the opportunity. Expecting to drop for around 45 hrs a week to 28 hours, so more time for riding . 8-) See how things go may give up working completely in around 12 months.
