And no I don't want a GS

My Mrs was coughing really loud in my intercom as we went past or i would have waved, didn't help some ornithologist on an RT pulling up sharply to point at a bird in the sky!!Sullivj wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2023 3:27 pm I AM that mouse.....SQUEAK..!
Just this last weekend, I was overtaken by a big chap on a GS, with his Mrs on the back!

Actually a few other factors should be included.David. wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2023 2:24 pm A motorcycle’s agility depends upon three main considerations:
1. Its overall weight
2. Its steering geometry, including wheelbase
3. The resistance of its rotating masses to changes of direction.
The 2010 Camhead is 263 kg, whereas, the new 1250 is 279 kg.
From what I can see, the steering geometry and wheelbase is the same on both bikes.

In answer to your question.. No.. The older generation 10-13 RT is just as agile, It's also more ergonomically friendly. It's down on power without doubt from the 14 to 19 year, even more so on the 19 to present shift cam models so your never going to keep up with the later models against riders of equal ability.Dlg wrote: Mon Jul 17, 2023 12:53 pm Is the new 1250 RT more agile than my 2010 Rt 1200?

In my defence your honour it wasn't a bird it was a Buzzard and rather a spectacular example.michaelc2710 wrote: Thu Jul 20, 2023 4:47 pm My Mrs was coughing really loud in my intercom as we went past or i would have waved, didn't help some ornithologist on an RT pulling up sharply to point at a bird in the sky!!

I thought I heard Michael shout "Buzzard" as you unexpectedly stopped in the middle of the road... It was something like that anyway!!

I knew he was sorry he missed it!!!!!Sullivj wrote: Fri Jul 21, 2023 9:32 am I thought I heard Michael shout "Buzzard" as you unexpectedly stopped in the middle of the road... It was something like that anyway!!
