Nasty bastards them Welsh! And the Jocko's!!
We should have killed them all off back in the day! England would be such a lovely place without that lot and their pesky borders

AFAIK, the minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and 3 penalty points added to your licence.
However, providing you haven't previously taken a speed awareness course within the past three years, in a 50 mph limit, a course may be offered between 57 - 64 mph. Prices range from roughly £75 to £100, with £90 being typical.

Thanks David. I hope you’re right - I’m waiting to hear if they offer a speed awareness course. My last fine was 20 years ago, so I was well overdue another!

Re: Welsh Speeding Ticket!
I've got two in the last three weeks!
36 in a 30 and 59 in a 50
I've been offered a speed awareness course for the 36 in a 30 and I'll take the 3 points and a fine for the 59 in a 50. Shit happens
one of the lads at work got caught three times in a row by the same camera

and he's only had his license 4 months so he's looking at a ban and re test

3 points is nothing these days. Insurance companies don't bother with them as they suspect everyone has 3 points on their licence.David. wrote: Thu May 23, 2024 4:22 pm AFAIK, the minimum penalty for speeding is a £100 fine and 3 penalty points added to your licence.

Personally with the course costing more or less the same, I would just pay the fine and the 3 points.
