Bolt Torque Settings

Post by LochiesDad »

Good day folks

I am looking to replace some of the most exposed bolts on my 2013 RT over winter and wanted to ask if there is somewhere on-line I can easily access the bolt torque specifications for the bike?

Any assistance very much appreciated.

I assume that a 2013 model is a Camhead the same as mine. If so, ask me and I'll look them up in the Haynes manual.

I will take a few pics and send them through.
Ordered the kit from Nippy Normans so hopefully the bolts all meet required standards.

Thank you

Which kit did you order from NN, was it this one, https://www.nippynormans.com/wunderlich ... e-t-family

The descriptions in brackets are from the Haynes manual, there is no guarantee they are the same but are my best effort.

You could always ask Nippy Normans or Wunderlich.

• Front engine cover (Timing cover) 9Nm

• Crankshaft sensor 8 Nm

• Intake nozzle (Intake manifold screws) 8 Nm

• Camshaft sensor

• Sensor plate cylinder head

• Throttle switch

• Idle speed control

• Engine Ventilation

• Oil cooler line (Oil cooler feed pipe bolts) 8 Nm

• Oil cooler connections

• Oil pump cover

• Oil cooling line

That is indeed the kit and i'm hoping N/N's include the torque values with the kit however just in case I thought i'd be lazy and ask the forum.

Thank you again :thumb:

I'd be very surprised if NN provide the torque settings. "Swap one by one with old screws so no new gaskets need."

This is the same kit from Wunderlich, https://www.wunderlich.de/en/motor-scre ... m29010-002 and they don't provide any torque settings either.
