Internal / Dust Cover

Post by Capt Sisko »

Hi All, Any recommendations (or avoid at all cost) for an internal / dust cover for a R1250RT?

It has the usual tall screen, panniers & top box set up and because it's for use inside my garage it neither needs to come all the way down to the ground or need a load of buckles & straps to hold it down. The 'Held' one on the link below looks interesting but the XL size that looks mmost appropriate is out of stock everywhere and XXL at 3mtr long sounds enourmous.

A decorators paper dust sheet for about £3 works just fine.
The GS 'is' the better bike :-)

I've got one of these on my 2021 RT (96") and although it's listed for indoor/outdoor use, it's very light weight and fits like a glove. I like it.

I'd agree with the above from @simbo
Although material, not paper, I use the same thing. Screwfix or similar is your friend

A XL Oxford Dormex cover fits the RT with a tall screen & topbox fitted. https://www.oxfordproducts.com/motorcyc ... oor_cover/

I just use a cheap, large tarp. Works perfectly for dust and keeps it dry.

Something specific loks better, but a large quilt cover or dust sheet does the job well, and are easy to pick up for under a tenner :P

I used our old quilt covers but you can pick them up from any charity shops. Who cares what it looks like, your not going to wear them in the street

I use this on my 1200. I imagine it will fit the 1250 just as well

Unlike some, it allows for the Top Box
