Just registered on the forum as I am now the proud owner of a 2023 R1250RT LE - my first bike in over 20 years.
Used to have a few sports bikes (SRAD GSXR600, K1 GSXR750 etc) back around 2000-2005, then a long break away from riding.
Recently decided I fancied tinkering in the garage and some ride outs with mates who all have bikes, so convinced the wife it was a good idea to get me out from under her feet - and here we are! The bike, plus all new gear of course has been eye watering, but we'll keep that part to ourselves as she doesn't need to know :D
I did a 'rusty riders' afternoon with a local bike training school to get some confidence back and it really is 'like riding a bike'. All comes back to you!
So far, I've added an ezcan, front/rear dashcam, and dinali d7 pro lights. I have an Akrapovic exhaust in the post so hopefully fitting that in the next few days. That should see me good over the winter I hope and then roll on spring when I can get some miles done!
Hope to see some of you around!
Ross
