Additional Mirrors

Post by Capt Sisko »

Hi All, Just a quick question to ask those that have added extra mirrors to their RT's via the changing the bracket* that holds the Aux lights & SOS buttons on and then use screw in mirrors from a GS or similar. Do the mirrors touch the screen on an RT** at full lock? (And just to make matters worse, for most months of the year I ride with a Wunderlich Marathon screen).

*Yes, I'm aware that if I go down this route I'll need the brackets with the additional threaded lugs. (Don't suppose anyone has any for sale?)

Mine do, but I bought folding ones (from Nippy Norman) so that they can be put into "park" position, when needed (Wunderlich Ergo). During normal riding, it is not an issue. Easy enough to reset, before starting off.

Here's a video of my set-up. They work great and don't interfere with the windscreen. If you look at the screen-shot from behind me, you can see how much higher they are over the stock ones.
