Glad I totaled my 2009!
Until last week, I had three RT's. Just prior to Christmas, I totaled the 2009 in my profile picture by hitting a deer at around 45 mph (no injury to me) which eventually turned out to be a good thing! Since I gave up on cars about 18 years ago, I resurrected my 2005 RT which had not been started in about three years. Put some gas and a battery in it, uttered a prayer, and the damn thing started right up! When I learned the insurance had totaled the bike, I bought a 2007 on the last day of 2024, with only 15,000 miles whereas the black bike had over 60 K, and was due for a major servicing and probably a new clutch which would've sent me back at least $3000. Insurance paid me $5800. The new bike was only $6300, so I guess I'm indebted to that poor deer. OR, was it really a REINdeer bringing me an early Christmas present?? ? Sorry Santa.

Deer kill more people in the USA than any other animal. I've had my share of close calls! I'm glad that this time it turned out to be fortuitous.

Hope you took the Deer home. The meat on it would keep me going all winter
