2006 RT
-changed out battery for a new one
-everything seemed to go just fine
—but yellow caution triangle stays on dash and will not turn
—also, the fuel and temperature gauges are frozen at the point when I changed to new battery they don’t adjust??
-I unhooked new battery twice waited 15mins and reconnected in effort to reset the dash/ECM but that did not fix anything
-all lights are working fine
-oil is new and not low at all
-everything seems to work just fine except frozen yellow triangle and fuel / temp gauges
Ideas on how I can unfreeze these ?
Thank you in advance-
Jason

I fear you will need to read the fault codes to figure this one out. Do you know anyone local wiith a GS-911 or equivalent?
I'm assuming the light stays on after riding the bike, because it won't go off until the abs check has completed at about 5mph.

No starts and runs just fine- yellow triangle simply stays on and fuel gauge frozen at point where battery was changed out- all else runs perfect

Just a thought, if the yellow light is on the fuel gauge is frozen, I wonder if it's the dreaded fuel strip (level gauge) at fault.

Interesting thought, didn’t cross my mind, I’ll try and assess that- it’s also the Temp gauge that froze (those two gauges have stayed right where they were during time of battery swap out) bizarre x

Re: Help plz, yellow triangle explanation point
AFAIK, I don't think that the engine temperature gauge would trigger the yellow triangle warning light, could be wrong.
