Hello all,
Taking delivery of an '11 R1200RT with 29k miles on Monday, and looking forward to many, many miles over the coming years. This will be my first BMW.
Have been riding an '18 Kawasaki Versys 650 for the past several years, and absolutely love the bike, but wanted something more for longer multi-day trips that didn't leave me absolutely knackered at the end of the day.
Cannot wait for a bit warmer weather and clear roads.
Cheers!

After the Versys, the RT will be wonderful for longer trips! I have a Suzuki VStrom, and two hours on the road is all I can handle before I need a break! I got a 2014 RT-P in October and my first real ride was from Sacramento to Nashville (2400 miles). The BMW was a sheer delight! Comfortable, powerful, and my endurance was limited by the fuel tank, not my bum!

Great to hear! Thanks so much for reinforcing my choice. Looking forward to a trip to North Carolina this spring and the Washington (state) this summer.
