When I was looking a little while back got offered 2 grand more from honda than bmw but that was against a goldwing so mark up on new bike also plays a big part in valuation of old. Harley and ktm are desperate to sell at moment.

£2000 for a 2019 bike is a joke. When I test rode a Harley Street glide, the mileage didn't matter. Mine is 07 with scratches and bumps and they offered me £3500. This is a lot more than I paid for her. Oh she has done around 635000 miles on the clock.
The HD dealer exspected higher mileage due to being a touring model.

The thing is that the dealer wouldnt give me a part ex value because they simply couldn't be arsed. They told me to use webuyanybike as they just wanted a straightforward cash deal. I only got the webuy people to give me a value out of interest but I knew they'd try to shaft me.

Main dealers don't want to be assed around buying bikes that they're selling or have a connection with. Every dealer that I got a test ride from except HD wouldn't even give me a price on my bike. Then you wonder why so many are shutting down.

Is that a typo? over 600k on the clock? If its not I think Ill keep mine.

If they're not prepared to offer fair money for a trade in it kinda removes one of the few reasons to pay inflated main dealer prices for a secondhand bike.

I traded in my 2012 RT with 47k miles last year and got £4850 for it against a one-owner, 2013 RT with 2856 miles on it from same BMW dealer and they even fitted 2 new shoes of my choice so can't complain

My apologies, tyres on bikes (maybe cars also) can be referred to as shoes up here. I'm sure there are plenty of other 'local' references for bits & pieces on our beloved steeds up and down the country, took me a while to figure out what blinkers were. Having horses around here I thought it was something to keep the bugs off my helmet and bugger all to do with letting other motorists know I intended to turn left / right.......

I took a test ride on a F900XR at Warwick BMW and they said that they'd give me a part ex value if i wanted to order the 2025 model. Unfortunately it just felt too small so i didnt take it any further. Also the seat was so uncomfortable I was glad to get off it after an hour. They do a comfort seat for 400 quid but it seems like a bit of a rip off.
