Mid Range Tool Cabinet

Post by Sullivj »

I've been looking for a middle of the range tool chest for a while as I've outgrown my current cabinet.

Finally settled on this Draper 26" from 'The Range'. Even with the £9.99 delivery, it's significantly cheaper than I could find it elsewhere. I wouldn't normally bother with a finance option, but Klarna were offering 12 months interest free, so I took it.

Top £256.38

Middle £121.19

Base £347.68

If you're interesting in getting one yourself, pay close attention to the dimensions. Some of the chests draper make are not as deep as the ones listed above.

Have you tried Halfords, If you know someone with a trade card the prices are very good. And there tool chests and boxes are very well made.

The ones on the back wall are all Halfords PRO and a Halfords Adv and the one on the right is a MacTool chest.

I've been using a 9 drawer chest from amazon for about 5 years no. A lot cheaper as no complaints.

Halfords are currently doing a very good bundle deal consisting of 3 Advanced units at £700,and you don't need the trade card.Well worth a look for those in the market.

I've had my US-PRO for the best part of 20 years and still going strong, have the 2 Halfords side cabinets(bought with trade card)

Well I thought I'd have a look and see if they still did my tool chests and they do.As I've said,I've had mine for the best part of 20 years with no issue, everything works as the day I got it.
Suprised to see the price of the complete set(as I bought mine)Now that is fantastic value :thumb:

I did look at the Halfords ones, but thought the quality was inferior to the Co Craft one I bought 15 years ago, that still looks and feels like new.

Sadly, Co Craft don't make the same one any more or I would have purchased another without hesitation.

Quite a few of the mid and top chests are not as deep as I like. Quite a few are less than 30cm, whereas the draper ones are 43cm, so the same depth as the base.
