2 days ago my check oil message showed up. Stopped shortly after, put RT on center stand, let it sit and checked the oil. Oil fills 1/2 the glass.

Yesterday I rode about 50 miles to lunch and the Oil message showed up again. Oil level hasn't changed.
Got home and changed oil/filter since it's close to time for an oil change anyway. I'm using Castrol synthetic oil and K&N filter, so I'm within BMW specs.
Does anyone know where an oil sensor is located? Any other ideas on this issue?
