R1250RT Clutch Engagement Spot

Hello all,

I am guessing this is probably my first bike with a hydraulic clutch but the engagement spot is too far out for my liking...
I'll had many bikes to compare with and this one seems to be at the very end of the clutch lever. My hands are almost fully open.
For more precise control I'd like it to be closer so my fingers aren't open as much.

I currently have the factory adjustable levers set at "1". If I went with aftermarket levers would this allow me to bring in the engagement zone a little more?

Just wondering if anyone else has noticed this? (I had the dealer look at the clutch during a recent visit and they said it was fine)

Yes I had exactly the same issue and I bought the wunderlich levers which bring it closer to the bars

Anyone have any experience with anything a little cheaper? While I do like Wunderlich, close to 400 a pair seems excessive. I'm also not a fan of the adjustable length mechanism, I'd prefer they be solid pieces. If it's the only quality option out there I'll bite the bullet. Just seems a bit extravagant.

There's a little grub screw at the back of the lever you can adjust for the bite point, only turn it in small increments while checking the bite point you require.

Unfortunately this doesn't move the point enough! well not in my case anyway

You are talking fractions of an inch and if you're not careful you can end up with clutch slip if adjusted too much

I was replying to the OP's question of "anyone have any experience of anything a little cheaper". It's worked for a few members of the ukgs forum so thought it might be worth mentioning.
