I looked closely, and the flags looked like they were from the military. Need a closer shot to see them correctly

Yesterday i took my used new wheels around to the powder coaters.
When choosing the colour i wanted, i took a couple of wheels out to the car.
The first one was in Gunmetal which looked nice but was to light.
The second wheel was in Anthracite which was darker than Gunmetal.
I liked the Anthracite so im going for that colour.
But when i had there show wheel outside i was worried about scratching it on the ground.
So i put some foam i had in the boot on the ground first.
So as i walked backwards to get a better look, I could see the wheel falling forward.
I was less than a second to far away and the face of the wheel hit the tarmac.
It did do some damage to the powder coating so i said i would pay for it to be repaired.
I was told not to worry as these things happed, which was nice of them.
So i am just waiting for a phone call now. I was told it will be a couple of week as they were booked up.
I'm not in a rush so am happy to wait.

Here is a photo of the stock silver to black colours. The Anthracite is between Gunmetal and black in shade.
I was going to go with Matte, but ended up going for gloss as its easier to clean.

Total price for 4 x 18" wheels with fitting my new tyres, TPMS and balancing the wheel is £348

The total cost for changing the wheels is £970.
4x Wheels £366
4x TPMS £83
4x Tyres £173
Powder Coat £348

That's very reasonable.

Mine are booked in for a Powder Coat and Diamond cut refurb - That alone is £532.

Had my annual hospital appointment with the cancer clinic to check my gums. All clear  But they still won't give me my teeth back :-D.
Please, everyone, have a check-up with a dentist(if you can find one). She was the one who spotted a lump in my mouth and sent me straight to the hospital. Turned out to be cancer of the gums and throat.

I work Wednesdays running the hyperbaric oxygen chamber at my local MS Therapy Centre. We had motorcycle racer Finn Smart-Weedon in today, getting treatment after a shoulder op. He races a 600 Aprilia at BSB support rounds.

Got a phone call this morning telling me my wheels are done and ready to be picked up.
That was a quick 2 weeks (2 days LOL)
So today i have fitted my new to me wheels.
They maybe not to everyones liking, but i did not want light colour.
I think they go with the plastic trim that goes around the bottom of the car.
These wheels are ment to be diamond cut, but i did not want them like that.

Got my old Buell Ulez tested this afternoon. Have barely used it for the last few years because it was £12.50 every time I went out. Will be nice to give it some longer runs. Thankfully the RT and my Buell Ulysses are already compliant.

Told to cut the front grass again. Did the rear 3 days ago. I have to do everything while she lies in bed 24 hours a day. I have to do everything. After 10 months of illness, I hope she gets better soon. It's knackering running a house single handed.
One plus. I now know which aisle everything is on. I can get around in 30 minutes, which took me twice before.

I feel your pain! My wife is taking care of her mother, a 3 hour drive away from our home. I get to take care of our house and 2-acre yard, as well as drive (or ride) over there for a couple of days each week to take care of that house (and much smaller ) yard. And I get amused when folks tell me how nice it must be to have all that free time to do whatever I want! It's not that I have free time. But I no longer have to deal with the pettiness, daily stupidity, and drama of the workplace.
