The weather was beautiful, temps between 28 & 32 degrees Celsius. So just right.
Didn't have too many issues with wildlife or stock on the roads, just a few of heards of feral goats, a couole of emus & some smart arse crows, & the tin top drivers were behaving themselves aswell. There was the standard fair of Road Trains, but they're generally pretty good with getting you around safely as soon as they can.
Got a late start, which wasn't quite to plan, leaving around 0900hrs, but still made it by close of check-in at the 'hotel', at 2000hrs.
Ebony was great to ride & I could still walk when I arrived, & even this morning, so gotta be happy with that. She's now in desperate need of a bath, but thanks to the magic of BMW my helmet visor is almost completely free of bug splat, which is a bonus.
Quite by 'accident', otherwise known as poor planning, I discovered that the 'Distance to Empty' facility counts right the way down to zero.
Even tried out the heated grips & seat last night as it was 'cold', the temp having dropped to 10C.
Now looking forward to a few days tonking around town before heading back again.
All part of the adventure.
