Wheel damage

Post by MikeS »

Went down a pot hole in wales last week, checking the tyres today noticed a deformation on the front wheel. The tyres holding pressure but the damage is obvious.
Collective thought's, is this repairable ? Or new wheel?

Bad luck Mike.

Presume you've already looked on Ebay for a suitable replacement in good condition? They come up occasionally.

Did have a quick look but times not on my side. Booked a bike trip to the Dolomites in mid June and just before that a week with the grandkids. So wanted a quick/easy fix.

Went down to Motoliner today and got the front wheel sorted, 6 hour round trip and 4 hours in the workshop (ride in/out). 200 quid plus the VAT.

Thanks to Steve398, Panman40 and exportman for the recommendation.

That’s good you have it fixed, I really don’t go out much recently due to other issues but I tend to ride with the main focus on potholes which is ridiculous.
