Got any questions about the BMW's R1200RT/R1250RT's onboard audio, Bluetooth or the Electrical system?

1250 2022 - Headset volume

Post by Ribcracker »

I’ve just bought a 2022 1250RT and am just getting familiar with her, so excuse the impending barrage of daft questions… 🙄

When I turn the bike on and my Cardo headset connects, it displays a helmet volume bar across the bottom of the tft, which is on half volume. The cardo itself is turned up to full volume by using the volume button on the actual headset.

So how do I turn up the output from the tft?

As long as the output is selected to Helmet you adjust the volume via the wonder wheel.

I had exactly the same question running the Cardo system. The answer lies in the 'Motorrad Connected App'. In the App go to 'Navigation Settings' and the scroll down the page. There is advice re the 'Output Channel' there and you need to select the 'Music' option rather than the 'Phone' option. Plenty loud enough and you will then be able to moderate the volume downwards using the Cardo headset control button.
