I just saw that my low beam healight bulb is out.
Any suggestions on replacement bulbs which are whiter and brighter. I don't think I want to go to higher wattage.
I'd consider replacing the high beam bulb as well.
Thanks,
Billy

You could try Philips X-tremeVision or Sylvania SilverStar Ultra—both offer whiter, brighter light without increasing wattage. Great for low and high beams! If you want to check local availability or delivery zones, this postcode resource might help.

I've got one of these in each of the two low beam headlights on my 2012 Camhead. (The two pilot bulbs are included too). They are a white light and IMO, more visible than the normal yellow light from a standard H7 bulb.

Just had yet another low beam bulb go south a couple of days ago. My 2012 camhead eats these things, this one makes 5 bulbs in 3 years. For comparison, my 1100 got through 2 in 11 years and 50k miles. Worse, its the right hand one - you know, the one you can't get to without removing the dashboard panel if you have cruise control and big hands (I have both).
Thanks for the recommendaation David, may give those a try this time.

@MarkW might sound silly but have a check what voltage your charging system is putting out
If its on the high side then it can cause the bulbs to pop and is an early indication of the regulator/rectifier on its way out

Thanks Stu, didn't know that, will add the check to the short list of upcoming jobs. I have the gs911 which is plugged in periodically and at service time - haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary. Out of curiosity, what would you define as "on the high side"?
