Always called it debudding. Seems to be a family word for it. I debud the deadheads
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

Went out for a ride with wifey at 6.30 last night, a bit warm on the way out, but gorgeous on the way home at 9pm with clear roads and temps hovering around the 23c mark.

Had a cold drink at the Bat & Ball at Clanfield (Hampshire) with musical accompaniment from a group of Morris Dancers…

Shouldn't complain but 30 °C is too hot for me to ride a bike.

I was at a loose end on a wet Tuesday morning, so decided to do something I’ve meant to do for ages, to be honest I don’t find the seat to bad, but the 1” memory foam should give it a bit extra comfort, and still looks original.
Easy enough to do, just takes a bit of time. 👍

Saw the new R1300RT at the dealer on Wednesday. It looks big. Handsome but big.

They had an FJR1300 and an ST1300 - both with reasonable kilometres and prices. Tempted to get yet another bike. Another dealer had a K1200RS which I also have been considering as an alternative. But the riding position was way too sporty for my aging body.

Escort was MOTd today.

It is still close to 30 °C and it starts to get on my physique.

Well not today but … 2 weeks ago we went to the Toyota garage and ended up ordering a Yaris Cross hybrid. End of August delivery.

On Tuesday I spent the day in hospital having a kidney biopsy, not particularly pleasant :(.

This morning between 7 and 9 am a new sofa is being delivered 👀

Sitting very still. For the last two days, everything I touch has given me a shock. Used to be worse when I was younger, which is why I only wear 100% cotton.
Pushing it, playing with the laptop, but I am wearing an anti-static earthing strap. You can even see the sparks. Even my watch has stopped working, so there is no way I am touching the bike

I dare say there's some positives to the situation.

On me way down to the Pyrenees(In the Sprinter)I have, for the 1st time, stopped at a French truck stop(Les Routiers.SP.)Why in God's name have i never stopped before.
Image

The place is alive with chatter,I was welcomed with a smile and allowed to park me little van amongst the 40footers.
Best of all,€20(yes,euros)for a 3 course meal that not only was bloody tasty, but plenty of it,but 2 bottles of wine, that's not bloody shabby.
I only stopped cos I was up at 1 this morning and I'm knackered, what a crackin stop for the night(yes, that €20,also allows me to park up for the night in me van)

Viva La France 🇫🇷 :-D
