Windshield clunks at lowest postiion

2013 1200RT windshield when approaching the lowest position sometimes goes below the lowest position and then resets about an inch higher.

I kinda clunks at the bottom almost like it is physically sticking to something then releases. I thought it actually was "snagging" on the sat nav mounting

bracket, but then repositioned it for more clearance and it was still "clunking" at the bottom. The mechanism is very smooth otherwise.

Ideas?

Mine does that too (if I've understood you correctly). I'm not near the bike now so this is from memory but as the screen nears the bottom, it sort of goes down, tilts forward a bit and rises a touch. It's like it's locating in place.

I'd take a quick video of it but I'm ashamed of the amount of bug debris on the screen at the moment.

Yes, sounds like that's identical to what mine does.

It doesn't always do it. Sometimes it just goes all the way down without the "reset".
