After all the Positive, Negative and Neutral posts on here lately, I'm glad we've all been brought back down to Earth with Contact from the Forum Boss Regulator who's Resisted Charging anyone guilty of Boosting an already Electrically Charged Debate with the threat of Cell time.
I'm off to plug my optimate in, I'm feeling quite flat with a total lack of energy.

Popped over(literally)the Pyrenees into Andorra. Crackin roads for those on bikes, not to bad in me chipped Sprinter either.Suprised to find a manned boarder crossing and was duly stopped,I made him stamp me passport while he was giving me the once over.

Diesel was €1.20 a litre
Got some snout for her, third of the price she pays at home and a 2 litre bottle of Pastis for €6.
Well worth a visit if your down that way.

Boring stuff really! Pulled the front wheel out for a tyre change then decided to do a brake service. Fronts were good, found a sticky piston on the rear which was sorted. Oils and filter tomorrow then all is good for Austria and Italy in 3 weeks

Rode 475 km yesterday with my buddy, who I have known for over 50 years.

Re: What did you do today?
Had to bail out of the campsite I'd booked and payed for in Spain(for 6 nights)after 2 nights and into a hotel 80 miles away.
The campsite was like a council estate(and I live on 1 in Basildon)on steroids, with cream and a cherry on top.It was without doubt the worst campsite I've ever been on(and I have been on a lot)
The final straw was a dog pissing up me shelter and the fuckin owner shrugging her fuckin shoulders. She didn't appreciate getting both barrels.

Took the photo just before bugout(to much M.A.S.H
)
All these lazy bastards fast asleep

Sorry bout the rant gents, now sat waiting for me dinner in a far more subtle environment

. Dang that’s nice. Is that common where you live to get that much time off? I’m in the states, two weeks is average.
Thanks, Mark

Re: What did you do today?
It was one week winter plus four weeks of summer vacation combined. This is standard in Finland.

Yeah, and if you want to take those 2 weeks at one time, the boss gets pissedrtbmrgl wrote: Mon Aug 18, 2025 8:11 pm . Dang that’s nice. Is that common where you live to get that much time off? I’m in the states, two weeks is average.

Re: What did you do today?
. Although a car dealer I worked at many moons ago had a cool vacation plan. Between Sept-May you get one extra day to discourage taking off the busy summer months. So they gave you Xmas and Xmas eve and NY day, so with the extra day I would take 10 days off and get paid for nine, was worth it to me.Randyjaco wrote: Mon Aug 18, 2025 9:52 pm Yeah, and if you want to take those 2 weeks at one time, the boss gets pissed![]()
