Handle Bar Risers

Post by Jay »

I’m in the process of acquiring a 2024 1250 RT and customizing my bike for my use. I’m 5’7” tall with an inseam of 30”.
Please share your experience with adding handle bar risers to bring it up and towards the rider by about 2” other option would be to try the OEM and change if necessary.
Thanks

I put the Ilium bar risers on my 2022 r1250rt. They work fine for me, but I wouldn’t say the difference in height/forward position is huge. I am 5’11, so it works for me, but for your height, you may need another solution that brings the bars closer to you than what Ilium risers offer. Here’s the link:

I added risers to my 2017. They were a worthwhile modifification. My budget did not include Iliums. The cheaper AliExpress version has done well by me. You will need to fabricate, buy or steal a puller to remove the bars. ;)
I have a 29" inseam and ironically found that lowering the foot pegs helped too.
