How you getting on with the lock Steve, thinking about getting one for the bike.Any issues with debris getting in and preventing anything from working or is it all good.
TBH I’ve not had the opportunity to use it a lot mate, last years trips were abandoned because of Wifey’s medical problems but it was good when I did use it. I confess to a heart-stopping moment when it seemed to jam and wouldn’t come out, but a gentle wiggle on the wheel lined everything up and out it came.
I'm tempted after reading your's and owls experience with it.Got to be better than a normal disc lock and me Hiplock doesn't really fit me bike anywhere I'm happy wiwi.Cheers gents.
Fed up whilst recovering, so I searched on AliExpress for the wonders of Chinese commerce. I see you can get fake Pirelli & Metz tyres on there now. They look like the proper ones, but are made in China. How do they handle?
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering. May the shaft be with you

Get some graphite powder from Amazon to ‘puff’ into the lock though, and do try to keep the mechanism clean and free running ‘cos it’s going to be an absolute pig to get off if it seizes!

I do keep graphite powder in the garage, great for all things "locks".I'm torn between this lock(for the issue you point out)and the centre stand jobby that Cymarc do,both do the same thing in the real world. At least with the Cymarc lock,it's never going to seize. I'll chew the fat for a couple of weeks before I pull the trigger
Well, I bought some graphite powder from Amazon and tried it today. The bloody graphite will not come out of the tiny nozzle fitted to the end of it - keeps getting blocked.

Threw it in the bin.
Shirley the answer was to make the hole slightly bigger, you only literally puff it into locks.
Think you may well be on a wind up
Are you telling me the tube of graphite is made of some other material than plastic.Evert tube I've ever had has been plastic, even been into the garage and took a photo of the 2 I have to hand. The one with no writing in came in a triple pack from Temu, cost penny's.
